Job Summary
Proven experience as a data engineer or similar role Strong analytical problem solving documentation and communication skills with a attitude to manage complexity and changing prioritiesSound understanding of data modelling concepts eg conceptual or logical or physical modellingStrong knowledge of SQL for writing optimizing and debugging queriesFamiliarity with database design indexing and normalization principles Proficiency in and deep understanding and experience of Cloud based infrastructure and services preferably AWS especially related to data storage and processing such as S3 RDS Redshift Iceberg and GlueFamiliarity and or or working knowledge with Python or Spark programming languages Working knowledge and experience in BI or Data warehousing or ETL using tools like Glue EMR or AbinitioExperience in test automation and using test management tools like JIRAFamiliarity with visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or Quick Sight Strong knowledge and experience with CI or CD tools such as GitHub Actions Jenkins TeamCity Artifactory or OctopusFamiliarity and experience with Agile processesKnowledge and experience with Dev Ops practices and toolGood automation skills in areas such as testing data ingestion APIs file transfersAssociate level cloud certification in data engineeringGood understanding of AI especially in the areas of data processing and analytics
