Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Extensive knowledge of the theories and practices of human resources including but not limited to the areas of equal employment opportunity progressive discipline labor relations employee relations workplace harassment disability accommodations etc.
Extensive knowledge of laws and regulations involved in prohibiting discrimination and harassment including but not limited to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Workers Compensation Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Montana Wrongful Discharge from Employment Act Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Civil Rights Acts Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) Montana Human Rights Law etc.
Ability to interpret and analyze all applicable rules and regulations and apply those laws to cases.
Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Personnel Management Public Administration Business Management or a closely related field.
Five years of related professional-level experience.
Other combinations of education and related experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

This position may be eligible for partial teleworkwithin the state of conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position may be eligible for a statutory 2.5% an hour base pay increase effective July 1 2026.

This position serves as the Department expert concerning civil rights Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and non-discrimination guidance and issues in the workplace.
