Job Summary

THE POSITION

The Department of Housing Services is recruiting for aProgram Coordinator to join our team! This position will join the Program Implementation team within the Homeless Services Division.

TheProgram Coordinator contributes to the Department of Housing Services mission of creating pathways out of homelessness promoting housing stability and investing in affordable communities for Washington County and our residents. The role works in partnership with community-based organizations and Washington County partner departments to support individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.

TheProgram Coordinator role will work closely with partners and stakeholders to design programs and strengthen the relationships between contracted providers and associated programs leveraging best practices from across the country. They will support the development of policy and procedures in support of new and ongoing programs and coordinate oversee and monitor homeless programs to assure compliance with statues guidelines budget parameters and grant or funding requirements including reviewing contract expenditures and approving payments. This role will collaborate closely with other team members and initiatives to advance efficiency and effectiveness of programs while analyzing and evaluating programs with research data collection and review to provide recommendations on programmatic changes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • four (4) or more years of experience in homeless programs.
  • knowledge of local state and federal homelessness policies and funding.
  • insight into navigating rapid change and ambiguity.
  • the ability to dig into problems and identify solutions for consideration.

The Homeless Services Division works collaboratively across departments with partner public agencies and community-based organizations to design implement and oversee dynamic services addressing homelessness and creating housing stability across the County. Our expanding programs fund outreach shelter housing placement and retention services along with permanent supportive housing for more than 3000 people every year. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • An Associates Degree in a Health Social Service Business or related field; AND three (3) years of work experience in program administration development evaluation and/or contract administration. OR
  • Five (5) years of experience in program administration development evaluation and/or contract administration.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must complete a criminal history check in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules post-offer.
