The Production Operator is responsible for assembling testing and packaging battery products according to work instructions and safety standards. This role involves operating machines inspecting quality and performing various hands-on manufacturing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow written instructions drawings and safety guidelines to complete production tasks.
- Operate load/unload and adjust machines to meet quality standards.
- Perform manual assembly work such as soldering welding gluing wrapping labeling and packaging.
- Set up and change out tools and equipment as needed.
- Conduct basic testing and inspections using gauges scales or calipers.
- Record production data accurately in computer systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and environmental rules.
- Communicate any equipment or quality issues to a supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior manufacturing or production experience a plus.
- Good attention to detail and ability to focus on repetitive tasks.
- Basic math and measurement skills (including converting units).
- Comfortable using computers and logging data.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand or walk for most of the shift.
- Frequent use of hands and arms for handling small parts.
- Lift up to 35 lbs as needed.
