AMHC is seeking a part-time (24 hours/week) Clinical Consultant to provide leadership clinical oversight and support within our Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (ACSU) in Calais. This role is ideal for a licensed mental health professional passionate about trauma-informed compassionate crisis care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide diagnostic impressions
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- Deliver direct crisis intervention and support for individuals in acute distress
- Supervise and train para-professional staff on best clinical practices
- Engage families and coordinate with community providers for continuity of care
- Develop implement and refine clinical protocols and safety procedures
- Provide expert consultation on complex cases and team dynamics
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care coordination efforts

Requirements
This position requires a masters degree in Social Work or Counseling or a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
Licensure as a Social Worker Clinical Professional Counselor Marriage and Family Counselor or Clinical Psychologist in the State of Maine.
Mandt (Level I) and First Aid/CPR are required and will be provided by the agency. Additionally employees are required to maintain all certifications.
The ability to pass a background check and meet other licensing or regulatory requirements is required.
