The Allegheny Highlands Recovery Program Manager will work towards meeting the strategic priorities of Hurricane Helene Disaster funding agreements through project management data synthesis and reporting and delivering tangible lasting results.
The Allegheny Highlands Recovery Program Manager will be highly organized to manage multiple tasks projects deadlines and resources efficiently. This includes maintaining project documentation tracking progress and ensuring that all aspects of the program are aligned with the overall goals. They will analyze problems think critically and develop effective solutions. They will forecast project success and identify potential risks to develop strategies to mitigate them including creating contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges evaluating options and making recommendations. They will assist in managing project budgets including tracking costs throughout the life cycle of the project. Financial responsibility will include purchasing processing invoices and transfers and assisting in budget preparation.
The Allegheny Highlands Recovery Program Manager will identify relevant data to be gathered across program areas. They will create manage synthesize and interpret data from multiple sources to develop and maintain methods to display and track accomplishments for publicly funded agreements. They will create dashboards reports presentations and other materials for communication with different audiences including meeting public award reporting requirements in a timely manner. They will demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information and will ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures and external funding requirements.
The Recovery Program Manager will collaborate to create realistic timelines prioritize tasks and ensure that program deliverables stay on schedule to meet deadlines with quality results. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to motivate team members and foster a collaborative and productive environment. They will be effective written and verbal communicators to convey ideas project requirements and to negotiate team dynamics without authority and may be responsible for the work of peers on departmental project teams.
The Allegheny Highlands Recovery Program Manager will report to the Allegheny Highlands Program Director. They will work closely with a team of conservation operations finance grants and external affairs professionals in both Virginia and surrounding states. The work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain. The work may sometimes include working on evenings and/or weekends. The position is based out of TNCs office in Lexington with hybrid work options available. It is a full-time ten-year term position without renewal.

Bachelors degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination;
Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting the data;
Experience managing and implementing multiple projects;
Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement;
Experience with current technology in relevant field; and
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated;
Experience implementing complex processes;
Successful development of dashboards to compile and display data;
Demonstrated ArcGIS experience;
Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results;
Familiarity with project management tools and comfort using software for planning scheduling and tracking project progress.

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $70000 - $77000. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidates actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors including for example the candidates location qualifications specific skills and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
