Grocery Clerk Part Time

River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Part Time Grocery Clerk!

Experience-based pay ranging from: $16.90 - $18.15 per hour

Must have availability to work weekends. Candidates without availability to work weekends will not be considered.

Union position

Reports to: Center Store Manager

• Perform established opening and closing procedures according to timeline determined by department manager
• Receive shipments
• Sort and stock merchandise
• Ensure items returned damaged or dated are accurately recorded and properly disposed of
• Assist customers with placing and picking up of special orders and provide price checks as requested
• Follow all directions accurately and in accordance with established production guidelines

• Excellent communication skills
• Able to perform basic arithmetic including counting addition and subtraction
• Able to repetitively lift and carry 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs
• Repetitive use of hands for grasping pushing pulling and fine manipulation
• Able to remain on feet for long periods of time
• Able to spend time working in refrigerated spaces
• Availability to work including weekends and evenings

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must be physically able to occasionally grasp grip pull push twist and turn as needed.

Constant (67-100%): Walking standing lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist talking hearing correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception

Frequent (34-66%): Bending stooping squatting kneeling lifting/reaching waist to shoulder lifting/reaching above the shoulder

Occasional (1-33%): Working in refrigeration pushing pulling lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist
