Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY
WCF Insurance has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as an Enterprise Architect. This is an exempt position that reports to the VP IT Application Systems. The person in this position aligns the technology used by the organization with its business goals and objectives and helps determine the long-term technical strategy for all system development teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in computer science (or relevant field) and at least ten (10) years of work experience (or fourteen years of work experience without a degree).
- Expert knowledge of WCF technology stack (spring java Postgres angular etc.)
- Extensive experience successfully architecting anticipating key issues in advance delivering and evolving large and small technical projects.
- Demonstrated ability and strong desire to collaborate with teams on multiple projects across the company to facilitate engineering and architecture decisions that lead to a high quality WCF product and experience.
- Extensive understanding and interest in turning business and product strategy into technical architecture and strategy across the engineering team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Guide the development of complex software systems ensuring scalability performance and maintainability.
- Evaluate system-wide platform decisions and set long-term company-wide technical strategy.
- Provide leadership in defining and evolving the software architecture to meet current and future business needs.
- Design and document high-level and low-level architecture solutions that address scalability reliability security and performance requirements.
- Evaluate existing systems identify improvement areas and propose architectural enhancements.
- Mentor guide and support development teams fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Drive architectural best practices coding standards and design patterns across the web development teams.
- Regularly participate in architecture and code reviews and provide clear actionable feedback.
ACCOUNTABILITY & REQUIREMENTS
- Actively research learn and keep up with engineering best practices and emerging technologies.
- Make informed decisions on technology selection integration and adoption.
- Design and provide system architecture and standards to be adhered to by all other programmers.
- Work independently and assume IT project management with general supervision.
- Establish a good working relationship with other department users and external customers.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers and department peers.

All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation in their first year. Expected salary for this position is $118960 $189300 depending on experience education certification and location.
Internal candidates should have acceptable job performance 6 months in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
