We are currently recruiting for an Ambulance Resource Assistant to join our team at the Mount Wellington Station. This is a full-time position operating Monday to Friday.
We are seeking a reliable team member to ensure all operational vehicles and equipment are clean serviced stocked and ready for immediate use. Responsibilities include preparing ambulances for duty relocating vehicles performing minor repairs maintaining compliance (COFs road user charges) managing consumables and supporting business continuity efforts. This role is key to maintaining operational readiness and resilience.
Qualifications :
Ko wai koe - About you:
- Current clean full NZ Drivers licence class 1 required with the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles confidently.
- First Aid certificate Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one we can guide you through the process).
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Ability to follow instructions and exhibit a high level of attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills: written verbal and listening.
- Computer literate.
- Demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application for St John in the community and healthcare environments.
