JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Engineering Analyst Production & Facilities Engineering is responsible for collaborating across the organization to develop reports dashboards and analytical models that enhance operational efficiency market insights and strategic planning.
This role works to achieve operational targets under close supervision. Requires the ability to explain facts policies and practices related to the area of work. Problems faced are generally not difficult or complex. Demonstrates integrity accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards values and culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical job responsibilities of the Sr. Engineering Analyst include:
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect analyze and interpret complex data sets related to natural gas production transportation storage and sales to support engineering operations and management teams
- Provide accurate timely and actionable insights to support decision-making in areas such as asset performance optimization finance and accounting and customer demand.
- Conduct trend analysis on production downtime LOE and well performance to identify optimization opportunities.
Business Collaboration
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs translate business questions into analytical solutions and recommend data-driven strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams (operations engineering midstream and CCUS) to build meaningful and value add tools.
Data Quality & Governance
- Maintain high standards of data integrity accuracy and consistency across production SCADA financial and other systems.
- Proactively identify data gaps inconsistencies or errors and collaborate with IT teams to resolve issues.
Continuous Improvement
- Optimize business intelligence reporting and data pipelines to improve efficiency scalability and reliability
- Evaluate and implement emerging business intelligence technologies applications tools and industry best practices relevant to the energy and natural gas sectors.
- Recommend innovative approaches to leverage data for operational and strategic advantage.
- Incorporate machine learning and AI models into daily workflows to enable predictive analytics automation and advanced decision support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Understanding of natural gas industry standards market trends emerging issues and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Spotfire Power BI Tableau or Qlik.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction transformation and analysis.
- Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics (a plus).
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and database design principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and job-related applications. Uses insights from digital tools to improve performance.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Smartsheet
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced interpersonal collaboration and communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail organization and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated cognitive and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Data Science Statistics Engineering Computer Science Businessor a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business intelligence data analytics or a related role preferably in the energy utilities or natural gas industry.
- Experience working with large datasets relational databases (SQL) and cloud-based data platforms.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS
- The position is located in Fort Worth with in-office flexibility.
- An indoor working environment that requires the ability to perform repetitive motions and operate standard office equipment.
- May occasionally be exposed to distracting noise while sharing office space with others.
