We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Safety Health & Environment Specialist V to join our team in Jeddah Saudi this senior-level position you will play a crucial role in developing implementing and overseeing comprehensive safety health and environmental programs across our organizations operations.
- Develop implement and maintain advanced safety health and environmental (SHE) programs systems and procedures aligned with local regulations and international best practices
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop innovative strategies to mitigate potential hazards in the workplace
- Lead and mentor a team of SHE professionals fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment
- Analyze complex SHE data and prepare detailed reports for senior management and regulatory agencies
- Investigate incidents accidents and near-misses implementing corrective actions and preventive measures
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to integrate SHE considerations into all aspects of the organizations operations
- Design and deliver comprehensive SHE training programs for employees at all levels
- Stay informed about changes in local and international SHE regulations ensuring the organization remains compliant and up-to-date
- Represent the organization in interactions with regulatory bodies and industry associations
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously improve SHE performance
- Implement innovative technologies and best practices to enhance the organizations SHE management systems
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in safety health and environmental management preferably in a construction or industrial setting
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian safety and environmental regulations
- Familiarity with international safety standards such as ISO 45001
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful SHE programs
- Experience in overseeing various trades and operations in large-scale projects
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to multiple project sites as needed
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent professional certification
- NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or similar qualification is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using safety management software and data analysis tools
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive cultural change in organizations
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations
- Experience in conducting thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses
