Role Overview:
The Senior Art Director (Sr. AD) will serve as the creative lead for a series visually-led short-burst campaigns for an up-market property developer.
They will be responsible for developing creative concepts assisting in on-set art direction with our photography & videography partners during shoots and overseeing all creative outputs through post-production.
The Sr. AD will ensure that every asset from campaign key visuals to short-form videos and social adaptations communicates the brands refined aesthetic lifestyle positioning and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conceptualization & Visual Direction
- Lead the concept ideation and development of visually-driven campaign concepts aligned with client briefs.
- Present up to two creative concept options per round with mood boards inspiration and visual rationale.
- Translate marketing objectives into compelling visual stories that highlight the properties architecture lifestyle and environment.
- Collaborate closely with the Copywriter to ensure visuals and taglines work cohesively to deliver key messages and CTAs.
2. Creative Production Leadership
- Act as the on-set creative lead during photo and video shoots (up to 10 shoot days over the course of the contract).
- Work hand-in-hand with production partners to ensure creative intent is achieved across every shot.
- Influence the visual composition lighting framing and styling to reflect the brands aspirational tone and design sensibilities.
- Approve setups hero shots and compositions on set to ensure they align with campaign concepts.
- Coordinate with production and vendor partners to maintain efficiency and creative alignment throughout the shoot.
3. Post-Production Oversight & QC
- Oversee retouching color grading editing and motion graphics integration during post-production.
- Work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and Senior Motion Graphic Designer to adapt and enhance campaign materials for social use.
- Review all creative deliverables including video edits stills and social content to ensure they meet quality brand and technical standards.
- Approve all final creative outputs before delivery.
4. Social Asset Direction
- Oversee the adaptation of campaign materials into social assets (up to 8 posts per month).
- Guide the design team in integrating copy motion elements and branding across static and video formats.
- Ensure visual consistency and refinement across all platforms and deliverables.
5. Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director Account Management and Production Teams throughout all phases of the project.
- Provide creative direction mentorship and feedback to the Sr. Graphic Designer and Sr. Motion Graphic Designer.
Qualifications & Experience
- 710 years of experience in art direction creative production or visual communication preferably in advertising or property/luxury/lifestyle sectors.
- Proven ability to lead visually sophisticated campaigns from concept to final delivery.
- Hands-on experience in photo and video production including on-set art direction.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator After Effects Premiere).
- Deep understanding of visual composition color theory and spatial design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines.
