In this role youll support the delivery of a variety of projects throughout Otago. We specialise in infrastructure construction based around reinforced concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from Bridges Commercial/Industrial Foundations Wastewater Pump Stations and Retaining Walls. As a Carpenter you will assist our civil team in building structures working with a variety of different materials including timber steel and concrete. The hourly rate for this role ranges between $29 and $41 per hour depending on qualification and experience. This is a permanent full-time role ranging from a minimum of 40 hours guaranteed hours and maximum of 60 hours per week. The role is based in Dunedin working on projects through the Otago region.

In addition to the above you will be:

Taking part in pre-start meetings and risk planning before starting work
Reading and understand construction plans and drawing
Constructing complex falsework/formwork for concrete structures
Completing intricate timber work for timber railing board walks and bridges.
Pouring and placing concrete.
Operating handheld tools and equipment.
Measuring and cutting materials.

Were looking for someone with:

A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
Current full Class 1 driver licence (desirable)
Current Class 2 & WTR endorsements an advantage
Skills and experience in carpentry is desirable but not essential.
