Job Summary

Job duties include but are not limited to:

RNA isolation in various tissues/cells from human non-human primate and rodents
Gene expression profiling and data analysis on various platforms
Presenting relevant data to project teams

Qualifications :

The role requires extensive hands-on experience in core molecular and cellular biology techniques. Essential skills include:

Aseptic cell and tissue culture.
Efficient isolation and purification of RNA DNA and protein.
Expert use of RT-PCR quantitative PCR (qPCR) and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) along with a firm understanding of primer and probe design.
Proficiency in Western blotting and SDS-PAGE analysis.
DNA extraction and various gene amplification methods.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

Experiencing in the development of functional cell-based assays/immunoassays to assess mechanism of action and potency of drug substances
Ability to support process improvement customer inquiries staff training as needed
Experience in crafting experiments and interpreting data and addressing issues to improve assay performance with innovative solutions.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

B.S/B.A/M.S. in biology chemistry biochemistry molecular biology or related field
2 years experience in industry or academia
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information :

Position is full-time Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of San Diego CA are encouraged to apply.

Compensation will be based on the level at which the candidate is hired. The salary range for Scientist II is $90000 to $110000 the Senior Scientist level offers a range of $110000 to $120000.
