Systems Engineer Non-Common- Fully Cleared

As a System Engineer you are responsible for providing support to our web-based mission application and its customers. This software product is a full life cycle software suite that provides audio & video ingest storage query playback analysis and transcription features. Our application is used by national and tactical analysts on small systems (laptops) and large systems (server farms). You will be working with technologies including Amazon Web Services / VMs Kubernetes Docker Grafana Kabana GitLab CI/CD Jira Confluence.

Responsibilities:

• Support the DevOps team in testing and troubleshooting our web application
• Collaborate with operations and development teams to identify testing needs and develop test plans
• Triage reported operational issues
• Monitor Tier 1 application health and status metrics
• Report issues detected during testing or system usage via the ticketing system
• Perform system and application installations and upgrades
• Provide operational support and/or training to users
• Monitor and respond to application related Jura Service Desk tickets
• Occasionally respond to mission critical after hours calls
• Participate inminor CONUS/OCONUS travel (1-2 times per year)

Skills Required:

• Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in Linux environments (RHEL 8/9 Rocky 8/9)
• Experience with Grafana
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience providing customer support through Jira Service Desk

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash Python Ruby)
• Familiarity with containerized applications specifically using Docker/Kubernetes
• Familiarity with BDD testing frameworks (Cucumber Spock Behave)
• Familiarity with automated configuration management tools (Ansible Salt Puppet)
• Experience with Elastic Search and Kibana
• Experience with HCI/AWS Cloud services
• Experience with STE/STN & OS hardening
• Experience with IT Instances Authoritative Data Source (ADS)

• Ten (10) years of experience required as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
• Active TS/SCI w/ poly

Salary range - $180000-$210000 based on qualifications/experience
