Job Summary

Are you a skilled and proactive Electrician/ Handyperson join our dedicated Engineering team at Stamford Plaza Adeliade where no two days are the same!

In this hands-on role youll ensure the smooth operation of our hotels electrical systems and general maintenance helping to create a safe efficient and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.

About the role

Youll be responsible for ensuring all electrical systems equipment and general maintenance tasks are completed safely efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests and staff.

This hands-on position involves a mix of preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repair work across guest rooms public areas and back-of-house facilities. Youll also support the Area Chief Engineer and wider Maintenance team with ongoing projects and compliance requirements.

Your day may include anything from repairing lighting and electrical fittings to assisting with plumbing painting or minor carpentry no two days are ever the same! This role suits someone who enjoys variety takes pride in their workmanship and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

To succeed in the role we seek a results driven professional with a can-do attitude.

Diagnose and repair electrical issues including lighting power and equipment faults.
Minor repairs to building facilities plant tools and equipment are completed in established timeframes
Major project assistance where required and delegated
Completion of maintenance tasks within allocated timeframes
Identify and carry out preventative maintenance repair and improvements to the building grounds and equipment
Efficiently respond to internal maintenance ticketing system enquiries
Preventive maintenance schedules are maintained and evidenced
Use a variety of equipment and tools to complete tasks

About you

Qualified Electrician

Proven experience in a maintenance or hotel environment.
Strong general handyman skills plumbing carpentry painting or similar highly regarded.
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Effective communication organisational and time management skills
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

Flexible to work on a rotating roster including weekends or public holidays as required.
