TheAurora R-VIII School District is accepting applications for an elementary counselor (Pate ECC grades PK-2nd) for the 2025-2026 school year. The applicant for this position will perform the following duties and possess the following skills: guide and counsel individual students and small groups of students; implement provided curriculum; consult with teachers staff and parents regarding developmental needs of students; participate in or conduct activities which contribute to the effective operation of the school; assist with assessments; assist with new student enrollment and student records; and guide the special education referral process. The individual must possess effective communication skills with students parents and other staff members. Organizational and time management skills are also essential. The applicant will possess a valid Missouri certificate in the area of elementary counseling. This is a 9.5-month full-time position. Benefits include a Board-paid health insurance stipend paid sick/personal leave and a two-week extended contract. Salary depends on the number of years of experience and education.
