Site Manager (High Voltage and Low Voltage) Groningen

At Giga Storage we are building the energy supply of the future. With large-scale batteries and smart IT solutions we make the electricity grid more stable sustainable and Delfzijl in Groningen at the former site of the Aldel factory we are currently building one of the largest battery storage parks in the Netherlands. There we will be able to temporarily store over 300 megawatts of sustainable energy.

As a Site Manager at this unique location you are the key contact for all technical and operational activities. Your main task: ensuring that work is carried out safely. No hands-on work but full control. You work independently on-site where you are the first point of contact for external parties.

What will you do

• You develop switching and isolation programs and coordinate them with the Responsible Person for the Installation (RPer).

• You coordinate the execution of technical work on-site (such as painting work on transformers or repairs).

• You grant access to restricted areas organize work meetings facilitate external visits and ensure the safety and continuity of our installations.

• You are the main point of contact on-site and liaison for partners such as Tesla.

What does your day look like

In the morning you start by checking the schedule. Equans is carrying out painting work: you coordinate align ensure that steel plates are ready and that work permits and safety measures are in place. Tesla is visiting You grant access and monitor the agreements. You keep an overview even when it gets busy.

What do you bring

• MBO 4 Electrical Engineering absolutely required

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with high-voltage installations (MV and HV preferably 220kV)

• Experience as a Site Manager or similar

• Technical background with companies like TenneT Enexis Stedin Qirion or other grid operators

• Dutch-speaking good verbal command of English

• Full-time availability and daily presence on-site in Delfzijl. Occasionally able to assist with complex faults (no regular on-call duty).

• Analytical detail-oriented socially adept and persuasive
