DescriptionThe Psychosis Risk Program and Language Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a motivated licensed clinical psychologist for an Instructor-level faculty position to join our collaborative research team. We are a leading program in psychosis risk research dedicated to advancing understanding of early indicators of psychosis and developing innovative approaches to improve identification and treatment. This position offers a unique blend of clinical research and leadership responsibilities. It is an ideal position for someone recently completing a postdoctoral fellowship or seeking to advance in academic clinical research.
In this role you will work closely with Dr. Cheryl Corcoran an internationally recognized expert and the Program Leader in Psychosis Risk on NIH- and foundation-funded studies that integrate computational psychiatry and natural language processing. You will serve as a key clinical leader within the program help shape research and training efforts mentor trainees and contribute to the care of adolescents and young adults at risk for psychosis.

Responsibilities- Clinical Leadership
- Serve as clinical point person for all studies and program operations including reviewing clinical reports emergency and risk management and supervising staff on clinical and diagnostic assessment
- Oversee participant recruitment engagement and retention strategies including community outreach and referral management
- Provide consultation and coordinate with other mental health professionals regarding referrals and clinical recommendations
- Option to provide direct patient care through Mount Sinais Faculty Practice Associates
- Psychosis Risk Program (Coping with Unique Experiences; CUE) Direction
- Collaborate with Dr. Corcoran in leading the Psychosis Risk Program ().
- Build and maintain partnerships with referring clinicians schools and community organizations
- Manage incoming referrals to CUE
- Lead CUE meetings to foster collaboration and growth
- Supervision and mentorship
- Direct the Psychology Externship in Psychosis Risk providing training and supervision to the next generation of psychologists
- Provide research and career mentorship to research staff and volunteers on completing their independent research projects and preparing them for doctoral programs or medical school
- Academic Research Contributions & Growth
- Author manuscripts and present your work at scientific conferences
- Submit grants and pursue your independent line of research with mentorship and guidance from Dr. Corcoran and other senior faculty
- Provide education and training throughout the Mount Sinai Health system local community and at national and international forums
- Grant and Project Management
- Assist Dr. Corcoran with pre- and post-award management of ongoing NIH and foundation funded studies
- Oversee day-to-day study operations from recruitment to dissemination of findings with strong support from our research staff and leadership from Dr. Corcoran
- Collaborate with the Grants & Contracts office on budgets grant submission progress reports and compliance

Qualifications- Doctoral degree in psychology

- Added bonus: Experience with coding natural language processing and NIH grant applications
Compensation range from 90K to 115K (not including bonuses/incentive compensation or benefits).
