The Geospatial Analyst/Database Developer will play a critical role in managing andanalyzing geospatial data to support a mission-focused team. The successful candidatewill be responsible for supporting and maintaining an Oracle Spatial database as wellas leveraging ESRI GIS tools to provide insights and value to analysts. The idealcandidate is a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently and isproactive in identifying opportunities to provide value to stakeholders. This role offersthe opportunity to directly support a high-priority mission and make a meaningful impacton the success of the team.
What you will do:
- Manage and administer an Oracle Spatial database including creating tables procedures and views as well as performing other database administrationtasks.
- Develop and execute spatial queries to support analyst requests and drivemission outcomes.
- Utilize scripting languages (e.g. Python SQL etc.) and libraries to parse andprocess files of various formats including by not limited to CSV JSON andXML.
- Leverage ESRI GIS tools (e.g. ArcGIS ArcMap etc.) to analyze and visualizegeospatial data.
- Proactively identify opportunities to provide value to analysts based on availablegeospatial datasets and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Work independently with minimal supervision requiring strong problem-solvingskills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Apply Data Science techniques to leverage information between data collectionsincluding but not limited to:
- Creating data visualizations and reports to communicate insights tostakeholders
- Developing data fusion and integration strategies to combine data frommultiple sources.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What you will need:
- Experience working with Oracle Spatial including creating views optimizing SQLqueries and some administration duties
- Proficiency in languages such as Python SQL or similar
- Experience with ESRI GIS tool suite such as ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap
- Strong understanding of geospatial data concepts and spatial analysistechniques
- Ability to work independently and prioritize task effectively in a fast-pacedenvironment
Nice If You Have Experience with:
- Proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong desire to provide value tostakeholders.
- Experience supporting a primary IC customer in an operational environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively .
- Experience working with a variety of data formats and sources.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectivelyinteract with analysts and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt tochanging priorities.

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills geographic location as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
