Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for engineering procurement and construction phases of downstream projects.
Lead planning and scheduling efforts across a portfolio of projects ensuring consistency accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
Coordinate input from multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated and realistic project timelines.
Perform schedule analysis including critical path float and earned value analysis.
Provide forecasting variance analysis and mitigation strategies to support proactive decision-making.
Interface with project managers engineering leads procurement and construction teams to monitor progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Prepare and deliver planning reports dashboards and KPIs for internal and external stakeholders.
Support risk and change management processes by evaluating schedule impacts of changes and variations.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior planners and schedulers.
Ensure compliance with project controls standards procedures and client requirements.
Participate in planning reviews audits and schedule health assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management or a related field.
Experience:
Experienced in planning and scheduling in the oil & gas industry.
Significant experience in downstream sectors (refining petrochemical gas processing).
Proven track record in EPC/EPCM project environments with complex multi-discipline engineering scopes.
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of WBS development schedule risk analysis and resource loading.
Familiarity with cost control and earned value management principles.
Knowledge of engineering design workflows and procurement/construction integration.
Other Requirements:
Excellent communication interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and lead planning on large-scale or multiple concurrent projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
