Experienced Lead File Share Migration Specialist to architect and drive enterprise migrations from NAS/on-prem file shares to SharePoint Online. The role involves leading migration projects collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with organizations information management and compliance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end migration initiatives from NAS/on-prem file servers to SharePoint Online including assessment planning execution and post-migration validation.
Develop and implement migration frameworks governance standards and best practices to ensure consistent secure and efficient migrations.
Oversee migration tool selection customization and optimization (e.g. SPMT ShareGate Metalogix).
Coordinate with IT security compliance and business units to manage permissions data sensitivity and regulatory requirements.
Mentor migration teams lead knowledge sharing and manage escalation for complex migration challenges.
Qualifications & Skills:
10 to 12 years of progressive experience in enterprise file share migrations to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
Deep expertise in SharePoint Online OneDrive for Business Microsoft 365 security/compliance frameworks and file permissions models.
Strong proficiency with migration tooling (SPMT ShareGate Metalogix) scripting and automation to optimize migration efforts.
Proven ability to lead large-scale projects manage stakeholders and align migrations to IT governance and compliance policies.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator SharePoint certifications) preferred
