P&C Department Leader
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced P&C Department Leader to oversee and manage a thriving Property & Casualty division. This role involves managing a team of professionals steering the departments strategic direction and maintaining a significant book of business. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities extensive industry knowledge and a proven track record of success in managing direct reports. This is an onsite position with opportunities for growth and leadership within a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $125000 - $200000 (commensurate with experience)
- Bonuses: Performance-based bonuses tied to growth
- 401(k)
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Property & Casualty division including 4 Commercial Lines Account Managers (CLAMs) and 2 Personal Lines Account Managers (PLAMs).
- Oversee and manage a $2-5 million book of business in premium.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the division and maintain high client satisfaction.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Ensure the successful quoting and renewal of new and existing business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients across commercial and personal lines.
- Act as a trusted advisor and right-hand partner to the company owner.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licenses/Designations: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing direct reports in the insurance industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applied Epic software.
- Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience with commercial and personal lines accounts with a focus on $ revenue portfolios.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional people skills and ability to build strong relationships.
- Deep coverage knowledge and expertise in working with clients.
- Strategic mindset to steer the P&C division effectively.
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and act as a trusted partner to senior leadership.
