Job Summary
An excellent opportunity has become available for experienced Team Leaders to join a well-established mining operation on a month-to-month contract basis. This role is ideal for strong leaders with hands-on underground experience who are passionate about safety productivity and team performance.
Requirements:
- Team Leader / Blasting Assistant Certificate (essential).
- Standard 8 (Grade 10) qualification or higher.
- Competent A Certificate (mandatory).
- Proven underground mining experience in:
- Shotcrete applications
- Mesh and lacing
- Barring operations
- Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety teamwork and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate underground mining activities to ensure safe efficient operations.
- Lead motivate and guide teams to meet daily production and quality targets.
- Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and enforce compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
- Oversee the correct application of shotcrete mesh lacing and barring processes.
- Perform barring operations to ensure workplace stability and safety.
- Carry out workplace inspections and report unsafe conditions or faulty equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work materials used and safety incidents.
