An accounting firm is seeking a Junior Accountant / Junior Bookkeeper for a permanent role based in East London Eastern Cape

Duties & Responsibilities

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Candidates with qualifications in accounting or finance will only be considered.
Fast learner that can work independent and has a driven and positive personality
The prospective candidate NEEDS to be teachable and trainable so that with time he/she will be able to learn the other programmes used in house

Experience requirements for the position:

Pastel and SAGE processing experience both manual processing and importing
Comfortable and confident with debtors / creditors both manual processing and importing
Comfortable and confident with bank recons and pulling reports both manual processing and importing
Efiling knowledge and experience
Previous accounting firm experience (or experience in financial statement preparation) would be a definite advantage
Experience in SARS submissions and VAT returns would be an advantage

Salary: Market related
