Job Description
The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process from ingredient sourcing to packaging and distribution. This position requires strong leadership and management skills to ensure efficient operations and delivery of high-quality products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire manufacturing process including sourcing of ingredients production baking packaging and distribution
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
- Manage and optimize production schedules to meet customer demands
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and resolve production issues
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Manage and train a team of production staff to ensure compliance with safety protocols and maximize productivity
- Oversee inventory management and procurement to maintain optimal stock levels
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management preferably in the food manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of production processes and quality control standards
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software
Desired Experience:
- Prior experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
- Experience in managing large-scale production operations
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and certifications
- Experience in implementing process improvements and optimizing production efficiency
- Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes
