Job Description Low Voltage Technician (Cabling Camera & POS Installation) Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our team for a new construction project. The technician will be responsible for assisting with the installation routing and termination of low-voltage cabling as well as supporting the installation of security cameras network equipment and POS systems. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail teamwork and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities

Pull route and secure Cat5e/Cat6 and other low-voltage cabling through conduit walls and overhead pathways.

Assist with terminating labeling and testing network and device cables.

Mount and install security cameras POS terminals and related low-voltage hardware.

Work closely with leads and project managers to complete installations per drawings and specifications.

Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
-
Follow all site safety procedures and construction standards.
-
Troubleshoot cabling or connectivity issues as directed.
Qualifications

6 months of experience in low-voltage structured cabling or electrical work preferred.

Basic understanding of cabling practices (Cat5e/Cat6 coax etc.) and use of tools such as fish tape drills and punch-down tools.

Ability to read and follow basic construction drawings or layouts.

Experience with security camera or POS installations a plus.
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts as required.

Reliable transportation and willingness to work full shifts on an active construction site.

OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
