Senior Electric Motor / Generator Winder Location: Concord Ontario

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Electric Motor / Generator Winder to join our winding department specializing in the rewind refurbishment testing and assembly of AC and DC motors and generators up to 13.8KV. This is a hands-on role ideal for professionals who take pride in meticulous mechanical work and enjoy mentoring less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities -
Rewind refurbish assemble and test AC/DC motors and generators including low medium and high voltage applications.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior winders and team members.

Support process design improvement and optimization in winding operations.

Participate in machinery installation commissioning and project management.
-
Supervise tradesmen in a unionized environment while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Assist with production support troubleshooting and problem-solving for large custom electric motors generators and rotating machinery.

Conduct cost-benefit analysis for process or equipment improvements.
-
Support EHS initiatives including design of custom fall protection and system integration solutions.

Maintain a strong safety record and promote team safety awareness.
Required Qualifications -
10 years of hands-on experience in motor/generator winding and refurbishment.

Experience with AC low-voltage random windings; medium and high voltage experience is a plus.

Familiarity with DC armatures is a bonus.

Strong mechanical aptitude attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.

Flexible and willing to work onsite with varying hours as needed.

Team-oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
