Landscape Manager

We are an owner-manager of 75 different market-rate apartment communities in the Greater New Orleans area and we have been in business for over 50 years. And wed love to add your talents to our team ofLandscape experts to help manage the landscaping needs of a portfolio of apartment communities.

As the Landscape Manager you will:

• Routinely inspect property grounds and regularly report any issues with planted materials; watering issues; and irrigation systems.
• Regularly communicate with monitor and manage performance of landscape maintenance contractors.
• Monitor and manage irrigation systems at properties.
• Consult and assist staff with landscape projects.
• Meet with Property Managers and Grounds Maintenance Techniciansto review and train them on landscaping and grounds care guidelines.
• Assist and advise on budgetary items relating to ongoing landscape maintenance and planning future projects.
• Actively recruit and meet with new vendors and contractors.
• Research and test new products and services that will benefit properties.

To be successful you will need:

• 3-5 years horticultural management experience; or
• 2-3 years of experience in horticultural management with related college degree.
• Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Horticultural License or acquisition of license within 6 months.
• Proficient and adept communication skills with ability to convey concepts and instructions to contractors.
• Experience in servicing and repairing irrigation systems and performing landscape installations
• Literacy and functional knowledge of computers and tablets with Microsoft Office.
• A valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle
• A willingness and ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
• The ability to pass a background check and drug screening
