Job Summary

Senior Executive Assistant (Events and Communications) (at the rank of Clerk I) in the HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 533393) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute a strategic collaboration between The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) aspires to establish as a world-class hub for Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) best practices for Hong Kong Asia and beyond. Bringing together distinguished global scholars from diverse fields our mission is to foster a multidisciplinary approach to ESG research and training as well as to forge partnerships with private and public sectors for sustainability initiatives and responsible leadership advocacy.
As a leading institute in ESG research we are dedicated to creating meaningful lasting impact through pioneering studies actionable insights ESG index development start-up incubation and transformative projects. Our objective is to equip the next generation of ESG professionals and leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote responsible and sustainable growthIn our pursuit of excellence we recognise the importance of collaboration and knowledge exchange. We are committed to facilitating dialogues and cooperation among regulators corporates NGOs and academics to ensure the development and dissemination of best practices in ESG. Together we aim to shape a more sustainable equitable and responsible future for all stakeholders.
Applicants should possess a good bachelors degree with at least 1 to2 years full-time work experience preferably in events management public relations communications or a related field. They should have excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) strong organisational skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
The appointee will have the primary job responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
assisting in the planning organisation and execution of events and activities for the Institute;
coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful events;
supporting the team in social media vendor management public relations communications and outreach activities;
creating and managing content for the Institutes website social media and other communication channels;
assisting in the preparation of promotional materials press releases and newsletters;
providing administrative support for various projects and initiatives; and
performing other duties as assigned by management.
The successful candidate will be required to work at the HKU campus and may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends and might travel to Mainland China and abroad occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test. Applicants with immediate availability will be considered in priority.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
