At QuantumDiamonds we turn quantum physics into real-world impact. As a Software Engineering Intern (Full-time 6 months) on our Quantum Sensing Platform team youll be part of the group that builds the software behind our groundbreaking microscopy tools.
Working closely with experienced software engineers youll help integrate our quantum sensors with control and analysis software - bridging the world of experimental physics and scalable backend systems. Lets make the invisible visible! What will you do
- Contribute to the development and integration of backend systems that control and process data from our quantum sensing hardware.
- Collaborate with software engineers on C and Python codebases for hardware interfacing and data management.
- Assist in testing debugging and improving the reliability of software modules used in our microscopy tools.
- Contribute to documentation version control and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions).
- Learn how to bridge experimental quantum systems with scalable software architectures in a real industrial setting.
What is expected of you
- You are a student or recent graduate in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Physics or a related technical field.
- You have programming experience in Python and/or C.
- You are eager to learn about hardware integration scientific instrumentation and backend systems.
- You bring a hands-on proactive mindset and enjoy solving complex technical problems.
- You enjoy working closely with a multidisciplinary team on-site in Munich.
- Youre available to join as soon as possible for a 6-month full-time internship.
