The Projects Coordinator assists with state-based coordination services evaluation and training to enhance Vermonts treatment dockets. This position involves administrative project development and technical responsibilities and may include: identifying system needs and/or problems; identifying impacts on the Judiciary of proposed strategies programs and activities recommending outcomes to be achieved to fulfill the grants goals or strategic planning objectives analyzing potential solutions; developing and implementing action plans; recommending and coordinating training; and work on dockets programs systems and/or projects as assigned. This position reports to the Treatment Court Programs Manager directly and the Chief of Planning and Court Services. Under direction of the Judiciarys Division of Planning and Court Services work is performed with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and evaluative thinking.

This limited-service full time openings exist for a Projects Coordinator. The limited-service role is funded through the BJA grant with projected funding through September 2028. Continued employment after that date will be dependent upon further funding.

Description

The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and interpersonal skills and professional experience in a legal or social services setting. It is essential that this individual maintains cooperative customer service-oriented relationships with treatment providers judicial officers and judicial branch staff representatives from other branches of government and various public and private groups.

Compensation

This is a non-exempt Judicial Branch position equivalent to pay grade 23. Starting salary is $27.50 per hour. This position will be eligible for longevity increases in accordance with the State step pay plan and annual cost of living increases as enacted by the Vermont State Legislature. Occasional travel to other courts within the State of Vermont may be required and a private means of transportation is necessary. Travel will be reimbursed according to State policies.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelors degree in public administration business administration public health/substance abuse criminal justice behavioral science social work psychology; or related bachelors degree.

Experience: Two or more years of experience in a public private or non-profit setting with direct responsibility for action planning process improvement program operations and grants management.
