Job Summary

NEW ASSISTANT BUYER BASED IN ANDOVER.

Our client based in Andover Hampshire specialise in the design and manufacture of highly complex electronics for a range of industries like aerospace medical and automotive.

This role is ideal for someone whos organised proactive and eager to build their career within procurement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities as an Assistant Buyer in Andover.

Purchase production materials goods and service in line with company policy and planning schedules.
Manage daily MRP (Material Requirements Planning) suggestions using approved suppliers.
Source and cost materials to support customer quotations and commercial proposals.
Monitor and manage procurement timelines to meet production and customer deadlines.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the purchasing function.
Ensure purchasing activities align with company authority levels and budget controls.

Requirements as a Assistant Buyerin Andover.

Experience working within a purchasing or procurement team.
Familiarity with MRP systems (essential).
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
