We are looking for an Executive Assistant (temp) to join the Administrationteam in Los Angeles!

Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California offices are located in downtown Los Angeles and Orange County with presence in Sacramento ensuring accessibility for all. With our Advancing Justice affiliates in Atlanta Chicago and Washington D.C. we enrich enhance and serve our communities all across the country.
We provide supportive services for individuals wanting to start the immigration process through Family-Based Immigration Asylum Temporary Protected Status the Violence Against Women Act Special Immigrant Juvenile Status T-Visa and U-Visa. We also offer free citizenship workshops and resources to help you on your naturalization immigration we also lead community-centered initiatives such as the Asian Language Legal Intake Project (ALLIP) the Survivor and Family Empowerment (SAFE) Project the Housing Preservation (HP) Program and our Health Access Project (HAP). In addition our Demographic Research Project (DRP) and Community Engagement (CE) teams drive data-informed strategies and grassroots partnerships that deepen our impact across Southern California.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum associate degree Bachelors in a related field strongly preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience
- Valid drivers license and/or access to alternative means of transportation
Qualifications
ABOUT THE ROLE
Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer the Executive Assistant provides administrative support to the CEO including but not limited to phone and email management calendar organization correspondence and daily scheduling. This position interfaces with individuals throughout the organization board members and potential and existing position is NOT covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
45% Meetings & Special Projects
- Create organize and prepare meeting materials for internal and external meetings
- Support Board of Directors meetings including preparing materials coordinating with members and keeping minutes
- Support with donor development and cultivation including donor check ins
- Communications support such as with presentation decks social media posts videos etc.
- Attend various meetings and perform follow up tasks as needed
- Special projects and other duties for CEO
40% Logistics and Coordination
- Provide communications support via telephone and email
- Draft correspondence and memos
- Maintain filing systems for general office
- Support internal communications
- Calendar management
- Travel coordination
- Expense management
15% Staff Events
- Support staff events and celebrations
- All other duties as assigned
