Job Responsibilities

Under general supervision provides assistance to computer system users.
Answers questions to computer problems for users in person via telephone email or from remote locations.
Designs configures and tests computer hardware networking software and operating systems software.
Diagnose hardware and software problems replace defective components. Inventory computer systems for District Wide inventory.
Achieves computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluation options recommending a course of action.
Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating systems and typical desktop application Office 365 application anti-virus solutions.
Maximize use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions.
Prepares user instructions and documentation for the installation and operations of software and software upgrades.


Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED AND Six Months Education/experience in information security privacy system/network administration and support or application development AND Training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computers users in an assigned office/geographic area.

Preferred Qualification:
A Certification a Plus Experience with Windows 11 Skilled in the area of Microsoft Office Suite - Office 365.
Possess good time management skills can handle multiple projects and prioritize.
Positive and optimistic approach to problem solving. Analytical and process-oriented approach.
Familiar with database administration and inventory of systems.
Knowledge of hardware and software with troubleshooting experience.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
Excellent customer service and communications skills (written and verbal)
Must be motivated self-starter with the ability to stay on task and manage time effectively with our without supervision.
Versatility flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
The usual and customary methods of performing jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling.
Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical staff.

Additional Information

All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Under the pre-employment fitness-for-duty this position is considered a Category 2: Active

Involves moderate to heavy physical activity potentially dangerous equipment operation and/or exposure to unusual working conditions like weather extremes or chemicals. Examples include warehouse clerks trades technicians and mechanics.

Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree diploma licensure etc.

The candidate selected for this position may be subject to pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.
