Mulgrave School is proud to be at the forefront of educational innovation as one of only four schools worldwide offering the International Baccalaureates groundbreaking Systems Transformation course a 300-hour transdisciplinary program that replaces two Standard Level subjects within the IB Diploma Programme (DP).
Co-developed directly with theIBO this course uses systems thinking as a framework to empower young people as leaders for a more just regenerative and sustainable future. As the program enters its second year we are seeking a visionary dynamic and passionate educator to join our Senior School team and help shape the next chapter of this world-first initiative.

What Youll Do
- Teach at least one section of IB Systems Transformation 11 and one additional Upper School subject
- Collaborate with the Senior School Vice Principal (Teaching & Learning) to refine and enhance course materials
- Inspire and challenge students through systems thinking sustainability and social justice frameworks
- Contribute to project-based and experiential learning initiatives
- Supervise Extended Essays and support students academic journeys
- Help promote and articulate the IB Systems Transformation program within and beyond the school
- Participate in co-curricular programming (clubs coaching outdoor education etc.)
What You Bring
Required:
- Eligibility to work in Canada (or willingness to obtain visa/permits with Mulgraves support)
- Certified or certifiable to teach in British Columbia
- Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience
- Bachelors Degree in Education (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme
- Current or willingness to obtain First Aid certification
Preferred:
- Experience with or deep understanding of IB Systems Transformation and the IB 16 framework
- Background in teaching multiple IBDP subjects
- Active involvement in the IB Educator Network (Examiner Workshop Leader etc.)
- Excellent communication collaboration and organisational skills
- BC Class 4 Drivers Licence (or willingness to obtain)
