I. Basic Function
This position will report to the Vice President of Enrollment Management Marketing and Student Services and work collaboratively with the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management - Traditional Undergraduate and the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management for the College of Adult Undergraduate Studies (CAUS) and Graduate Studies. This position will be one of the main points of contact for prospective students and their families. This position is responsible for planning and executing recruiting and conversion events and managing the campus visit process representing Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) across Traditional Undergraduate Admissions CAUS and Graduate Admissions.
II. Essential Functions
1. Serves as the primary contact and coordinator of all admissions-related or admissions-sponsored events.
2. Coordinates and plans all aspects of enrollment and yield events including but not limited to Fall and Spring Open House Scholarship Dinner Accepted Student Day High School Counselor Meet and Greets Allied Open House Virtual Information and/or Engagement Sessions and other enrollment driven events.
3. Serves as the lead on event days facilitating and supervising the program in its entirety.
4. Responsible for the creative direction and communications strategy for student engagement events.
5. Works collaboratively with staff and faculty to assist in the creation promotion and supervision of enrollment-related events.
6. Communicates with internal and external constituents to arrange their participation in visit and event activities.
7. Represents the University to prospective students and all external publics in interviews information sessions and special projects by providing exceptional customer service to all constituents (faculty staff students visitors and the community at large).
8. Represents the University at recruitment events as needed.
9. Coordinates and facilitates the Student Ambassador Program along with the Visit Center Coordinator that includes the student tour guide program (recruiting hiring training). Consistently evaluates the program to ensure the provision of superior customer service the dissemination of accurate information and an excellent campus visit experience.
10. Manages the daily campus visit program along with the Visit Center Coordinator for prospective students families educators and other special groups. Responds to and confirms campus visit requests and answers visit questions. Serves as a consistent point of contact throughout the pre-visit process. Manages the daily operation of the Welcome Center including facility set-up and technology needs.
11. Manages Social Media Platforms for Enrollment Management.
12. Performs such similar comparable or related duties as may be required or assigned.
III. Qualifications
Knowledge: Bachelors degree required.
Experience: A minimum of two or more years of experience in admissions or student recruitment in a college or university setting. Event management experience is also required; with preference in coordinating and supervising large-scale recruitment events. Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
Skills/Aptitude: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is a must. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to effectively and enthusiastically represent the mission of the university including the key aspects/benefits of a private liberal arts and residential college education. Creativity perceptiveness flexibility and problem solving are necessary.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
