About the Role:
The Assistant General Manager Aquatics will oversee the Aquatics Department manage staff coordinate swim events maintain pool operations and support facility programs. Youll supervise 4050 employees through 12 direct supervisors and handle scheduling maintenance safety compliance and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead train and supervise aquatic staff
Oversee pool operations water safety and equipment maintenance
Manage swim meets calendars contracts and timing systems (CTS Hytek)
Ensure policy compliance and community programming
Develop and audit department budgets
Coordinate schedules events and public engagement
Participate in leadership duties events and operations support
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree 4 years of relevant experience
- Current Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid/Oxygen Certification
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
- Experience with timing systems (Hytek CTS Gen 7)
- Ability to work weekends evenings and holidays
- Strong leadership communication and operations experience
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
Water Safety Instructor
USA Swimming/ASCA Certification
Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor
Experience with event administration & scoreboard operations
Required Skills:
