We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Neurosurgery . Responsibilities:
- Performing neurosurgical procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Assessing and diagnosing patients with neurological disorders.
- Developing treatment plans and providing recommendations for patient care.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Participating in rounds consultations and case conferences.
- Documenting patient information and treatment plans accurately.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in neurosurgery.
- Participating in continuous education and training to stay updated on advancements in the field.
Requirements:
- Medical degree with specialization in Neurosurgery.
- Valid license to practice as a Medical Doctor.
- Proven experience as a Neurosurgeon or in a similar role.
- Excellent surgical skills and knowledge of neurosurgical techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
Level I trauma
Schedule: 8 to 12-hour shifts
Daily Volume: 1-2 emergent surgical cases
Will cover emergent ED cases
Procedures Required: Brain bleed stoppage clot removal tumor removal trauma repair shunt insertion or revision spine stabilization and reconstruction vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty spinal fusion laminectomy and diskectomy
Team Structure: 2 additional neurosurgeons
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
