Job Summary

The role involves helping patients who have trouble with communication thinking or swallowing. Y

ou will create a care plan that follows all rules and best practices.

- You will use standard tests and proven methods to decide on the right treatments.

- You will check how the patient is doing and update treatment plans in their records according to the rules.

- You will look at how well the treatments are working and make changes as needed including making referrals when necessary.

- You will talk with patients their families caregivers and other healthcare workers about speech issues.

- You will communicate clearly with your supervisor and other team members about patient progress and any challenges they face.

- You will write a summary of the care provided before the patient leaves meeting all regulations and guidelines.

- You will keep accurate records of the time spent on treatments following all necessary rules.

- You will attend required meetings like patient reviews and rehabilitation discussions.

- You will take part in required training sessions and conferences.

- You will also help get any necessary equipment or supplies following the rules.

- You will supervise and help new or student Speech-Language Pathologists.

- You must follow the rules and ethics set by ASHA and the state while working.

- You need to have an active State License.

**Qualifications:**

- You need at least 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

- Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation is required.

- You must have a Missouri State License.

- You need to be a certified SLP (CCC certified).

- New graduates are welcome as long as they have some practical experience not just observation.

**State License Requirements:**- Missouri- Compact License is allowed.
