Chaplain Team Supervisor St. Anne Hospital
Job Summary:
The Chaplain Team Supervisor is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services and supervision of the chaplaincy team at a particular clinical group a site and a hospital at BSMH. The Supervisor coordinates scheduling of shifts addresses staffing needs and oversees the daily operation of the chaplaincy team. As a clinical chaplain the Supervisor provides direct patient care and collaborates with other chaplains in addressing the spiritual care needs of patients families and staff. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team the Supervisor provides spiritual care and emotional support within the context of illness crisis loss and death. The Chaplain Team Supervisor is committed to the Mission and models its core values.
Essential Functions:
Supervise the chaplaincy team at the assigned clinical group site or hospital at BSMH.
Manage the daily operation and provision of Spiritual Care.
Participate in providing direct patient care as part of the chaplaincy team.
Create and maintain monthly/weekly schedule for the chaplaincy team including weekend and night on-call coverage.
Manage PTOs urgent time-off requests daily changes in scheduling.
Work with the Director or Manager to promote team cohesion and effective relational dynamics within the chaplaincy team.

Education:
Masters degree in related field such as Pastoral Studies or Theology (required)
Masters degree in Divinity (preferred)
Doctoral degree in Theology or Philosophy (preferred)
Required Licensing & Certifications:
Four or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed (required)
Required to have Board certification by one of these professional certifying organizations: National Association of Catholic Chaplains Association of Professional Chaplains Association of Jewish Chaplains Association of Clinical Pastoral Education Association of Pastoral Counselors
Advanced certification in specialty area of Chaplaincy Ethics or an equivalent (required)
Experience:
Four years of experience as a Chaplain in a healthcare setting. (Required)
Experience as a people leader (preferred)
