The primary role of the Photography Intern will be to work with the Creative Team in the Hypebeast New York City office on building out and executing ideas for branded content campaigns. Working closely with the Creative Production Team and the Creative Editorial Team you will learn the ins and outs of producing photoshoots for a fashion publication including creating a concept gathering inspiration then shooting and launching the content.
Duties:
- Brainstorm relevant content ideas for Hypebeast.
- Research and compile creative content executions from around the web.
- Assist in creating mood boards and production creative briefs under the guidance of the Creative Team.
- Assist the Creative Production Team on set during photo and video shoots.
- Work closely with the Creative Editorial Team to uphold the content standards of the Hypebeast brand.
- Shoot events & smaller campaigns.
- Work with producer/creative team on post production and feedback from client.
The ideal candidate is:
- Creative- A keen eye for photography and an out of the box thought process.
- Knowledgeable - Proficient in photography techniques equipment and editing software like Adobe Photoshop (other CC applications a plus).
- Goal-focused - The ability to take direction but needs a little management and oversight to get the job done smoothly and efficiently.
- Passionate- Ingrained in and excited about the Hypebeast culture with knowledge of the current streetwear landscape.
Requirements:
- 3rd or 4th year University student currently majoring in a relevant photography-related field.
- Demonstrated functional knowledge of photography including cameras lighting and setup.
- Knowledge of the Hypebeast culture including but not limited to: streetwear sneakers and high-fashion.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily Photoshop).
- Eager to learn and work hard.
$16 - $17 an hour
The expected salary range for this role is between $16 to $17 per hour. The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience education relevant skill set location and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
