Position Overview

You will lead the way in fun dynamic movement sessions both one-on-one and in groups! You will work to maximize a variety of skills via movement to include: social intellectual emotional physical and behavioral. You will promote the well-being of program participants and the protection of their individual rights through the support of agency mission vision and values.
Work Location: Canandaigua NY
Schedule: Full-Time - Monday-Friday 8:00am-2:00pm with flexibility in schedule required to meet agency needs

Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating movement programs offered for day habilitation participants and other waiver supports. Utilizes a combination or movement & dance to facilitate skill building maintains movement curriculum that is based upon each participants needs.
- Monitors progression and skill development in movement & dance engagement assists in incorporating the movement goals into the outcomes of the overall Staff Action Plan. Ensures that the movement goals are consistent with the persons abilities and interests.
- Seeks and maintains opportunities for participants to engage in movement or dance activities in the community and/or with community members. Creates and maintains a regular schedule of community classes or clubs and ensures flexible scheduling to do so.

Requirements
- BA/BS in Movement/Dance and over 3 months of experience working with the people with disabilities or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
