Job Summary
Responsibilities
Peraton has an immediate need for a Solution Architect (SA) to support growth opportunities within the Citizen Security & Public Services Sector. This position will be based in our Northern VA offices and will assist in the design and development of mission-relevant cost-effective solutions across systems engineering applications development cybersecurity cloud infrastructure and AI. SA will work closely with senior architects and capture teams contributing to technical solutioning proposals and business development activities while gaining exposure to leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior Solution Architects to develop solution strategies that align with customer requirements and objectives.
- Lead defined workstreams in solution development including technical research drafting proposal content and preparing supporting materials.
- Develop components of technical volumes graphics and presentations for proposals and orals.
- Support cost modeling and staffing approaches in partnership with senior architects and program managers.
- Conduct technical assessments of customer environments mission needs and emerging technologies to inform solutioning.
- Participate in internal reviews governance checkpoints and customer shaping discussions.
- Engage with partners subcontractors and technical SMEs to integrate capabilities into solutions.
- Provide subject-matter support during proposal and capture phases helping translate technical details into clear business value.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with AS/AA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
- Degree in computer science engineering information technology business or related field.
- Professional experience in IT solutioning systems engineering applications development or consulting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading portions of technical proposals or solution development for U.S. Federal Government customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to produce proposal-ready content and present technical concepts clearly.
- Working knowledge of at least two technical areas such as cloud (AWS Azure Google Cloud) cybersecurity networking software development or AI/ML.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and contribute effectively under tight deadlines.
- US Citizenship
Desired:
- Foundational to intermediate certifications in cloud cybersecurity or IT service management (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate Azure Administrator Associate CompTIA Security ITIL Foundation).
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFe delivery practices.
- Experience engaging with partners or subcontractors in solution development.
