General Operations Temporary Staff
Beta Academy is a Title I Schoolwide campus. This role may be funded with federal funds.
Position Overview
The Summer General Operations Temporary Staff member plays a key role in supporting the reset and upkeep of school facilities during the summer term. This role involves physical labor light maintenance light painting and facility repairs cleaning and general campus support to ensure a safe clean and organized environment for students and staff in the upcoming school year.
Qualifications
- Some construction experience preferred
- Ability to take instruction and work independently
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and remain on feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot/humid conditions
Reports To:
Operation Manager or Assigned Supervisor
Employment Terms:
Temporary / Monday-Friday/ Hourly 7:30am-4:00pm (as needed) / $13.50-$15.00
Occasional Saturday work as needed
Responsibilities & Duties
Facilities Support
Move and reset classroom and office furniture
Load move and distribute boxes and supplies
Assist with general summer cleaning of walls windows and storage areas
Power wash buildings student desks chairs and outdoor surfaces
Support minor repairs and maintenance of playground equipment and facilities
Operations Assistance
Assist day porters with facility cleaning during summer sessions and events
Assist in storage organization and cleanup efforts
Setup and prep rooms and facilities before and after summer events
Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Support curriculum relocation and classroom organization
Follow all safety and dress code guidelines
Attire
Knee length Khaki or dark denim shorts are acceptable
Closed toe shoes only
No tank tops
No political sexual images or slogans on clothing
