Aston Education is looking for an Academic Support Year Lead for an Ofsted Good 11-16 secondary school in Lambeth South London.

The Academic Support Year Lead focuses on academic oversight student guidance and promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing within a Year Group (KS3 or KS4).

Key Responsibilities include:

Lead Advisory Teams for a Year Group by establishing and maintaining positive routines
Use data to produce reports for a range of audiences including Governors and external agencies
Use data to inform smart measurable target setting to raise individual outcomes
Maintain behaviour systems and create a positive learning environment
Track student attendance and performance identifying underachievement and implementing interventions
Safeguard students health safety and wellbeing
Liaise with parents and carers

Qualifications skills and experience required:

Degree ideally with Psychology or Behavioural Science
Proven experience in an academic support role in a secondary mainstream school
Experience leading a team
Experience coaching students for improved outcomes
Experience of tracking performance and implementing interventions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Safeguarding training
