The Opportunity

Were growing and were looking for a motivated detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team.

In this role youll get hands-on experience across a variety of accounting functions from payroll and commissions to bank reconciliations and internal reporting supporting financial operations across multiple business entities. Your Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly financial statements reconciliations and supporting journal entries
Handle bi-weekly payroll and commission processing

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Maintain accurate A/P and A/R sub-ledgers
Verify billing accuracy and process vendor payments (cheques EFTs wire transfers)
Reconcile corporate credit cards and expense documentation

Banking & Payments

Perform bank reconciliations and prepare weekly payment batches
Ensure appropriate approvals and documentation are in place

Audit & Compliance Support

Review and audit internal contest displays for accuracy
Maintain organized financial records and assist with audits as needed

General Accounting Support

Assist with ad-hoc projects and process improvements within the Finance department

What You Bring

Degree or diploma in Accounting Finance or related discipline
Solid grasp of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables formulas VLOOKUPs)
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Xero or equivalent
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
A collaborative attitude eagerness to learn and professional communication skills

Bonus Points For

Previous internship or experience in an accounting or finance role
Experience with payroll systems commission tracking or audit support
Knowledge of contest verification or sales performance reporting
