The role

This role is all about shaping how infrastructure gets funded and delivered across NSW. It involves leading strategic planning projects crafting clear guidance and policy frameworks and offering expert advice on infrastructure and funding mechanisms. Youll be working closely with councils government agencies and stakeholders to make sure infrastructure contributions are well-managed and aligned with legislation.

The challenge lies in juggling multiple high-stakes projects navigating complex governance structures and keeping pace with shifting policy landscapesall while delivering quality outcomes under tight timeframes. From drafting ministerial briefings to running public consultations this role demands both technical know-how and strong coordination skills to drive infrastructure planning forward.

What you will bring to the

• You have a deep understanding of infrastructure contributions planning and relevant legislation enabling confident assessment of funding requests and compliance with statutory frameworks.
• Strong writing and communication skills to craft clear persuasive Cabinet Submissions briefing notes and ministerial correspondence that support informed decision-making.
• Proven ability to develop practical guidance materials and policy frameworks that promote consistency and clarity across infrastructure planning practices.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-agency coordination with experience managing public consultation processes to ensure transparency and inclusivity.
• You are organised and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple complex projects maintain accurate reporting systems and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timeframes.

What is an essential requirement:

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications such as planning urban planning land surveying project management construction management and equivalent relevant industry experience
