DescriptionAlutiiq Information Management LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq LLC has an opportunity for a Drafter/CAD Operation in San Diego CA. The Drafter/CAD Operator will aid the development of mechanical and electrical assemblies and drawings associated with shipboard and ashore communications systems currently being configured for the US Navy. The chosen candidate will be required to work directly with the Government customer to assess materials develop components assess interpret and approve drawing requirements for multiple engineering tasks over a broad range of technology scope.
- Create template shore and shipboard drawings with AutoCAD using standards as defined by the Shore Installation Project Handbook (SIPH) and US Navy shipboard drawing guidance as outlined with NAVSEA TS9090-310F and compliant with Technical Specification 9090-600 (Series) Ship Alteration (SHIPALT) Installation Drawing (SID) Preparation.
- Have the ability and willing to learn software as needed such as: SolidEdge FARO Scene Rhino 3D Reliasoft Synthesis Ultimaker 3D.
- Configuration management (Drawing Revisions/Changes) in accordance with ASME Y14.35.
- Provide mechanical assembly design support of project Antennas cables and electronic enclosures as required for both legacy and developmental items.
- May require periodic ship and shore site visits for drawing updates and review new installation design.
Payrate:$33.65 to $45.00 Hourly
Requirements- 4 years of specific experience with developing Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs) in accordance with NAVWAR M-4720.5B.
- 4 years of specific experience with developing Installation Design Packages (IDPs) in accordance with NAVWAR M-4720.1.
- While not required Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline is desirable.
- Knowledge of engineering specifications (ASME Y14.100-2004 ASME Y14.5M-2004 MIL-STD-810G MIL-STD-130) is desirable; like experience is required.
- Pursuant to the Government Contract you must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance.
