Maintain temples at standards established by the Frist Presidency as outlined in the Temple Facilities handbook.
Train motivate and supervise a crew of full and /or part-time custodians church service missionaries or volunteers.
Assist in custodial work to assure that church buildings are always clean and orderly.
Typically responsible for 40000 to 90000 square feet.
Typically supervises a crew of 8-15 employees.
Responsibilities- Regularly supervises the work of other employees (may include a mixed workforce).
- Supervise a crew of custodians by interviewing prospects providing training creating schedules and assisting in performance management and assigning individual tasks.
- Provides suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring firing advancement promotion or any other change of status of employees under their supervision.
- Make decisions under the direction of the TFM (Temple Facility Manager) on proper equipment techniques chemical and maintenance of church buildings.
- Maintain discipline performance and morale and provide opportunities for growth and development among custodial staff members.
- Monitor physical condition of all areas and reports maintenance and repair needs to TFM (Temple Facility Manager).
- Organize and assist in maintenance closures including but not limited to: carpet cleaning rug cleaning upholstery cleaning coordinating contractor services scheduling paid staff volunteers service missionaries and making a cleaning schedule.
- May assist in training custodial lead service missionaries and volunteers in a cluster temple.
- May travel to cluster temples to assist in projects and training.
- Initiate orders for custodial supplies and stay within budget.
- Perform custodial work including by not limited to vacuuming dusting mopping; cleaning kitchen/cafeteria restrooms carpets and upholstery; and washing windows.
- Other duties as assigned.
